    7 Jul 2020,

An online Research Design Service North West support event

NIHR Research Design Service North West (RDS NW) is offering this online event for health and social care professionals and researchers who want to develop and submit an application to one of the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) funding programmes.

This event will take place in the morning with the option to join the marketplace session in the afternoon.

Part I: Morning session – 10.00 am to 12.30 pm

This session will provide information on:

    • how the Research Design Service can help you to develop a proposal for NIHR funding
    • an introduction to NIHR funding opportunities
    • the importance of public involvement in research
    • stories from successful applicants.

This will be followed by a break for an hour from 12.30 pm.

Part II: Virtual Marketplace – 1.30 pm to 3.30 pm

If you are planning to develop an application for submission to one of the NIHR funding programmes, we are offering an opportunity for an initial discussion with an RDS NW adviser, who can provide guidance on how the RDS can help with your proposal development.

There will also be an opportunity to learn more from the wider NIHR infrastructure, including the Clinical Research Network (CRN).

In order to make the most of these discussions, we advise that you have at least an outline idea of your research question.

When registering you will be given the opportunity to specify if you plan to attend the afternoon marketplace session. You’ll then be contacted by the Research Design Service team who will provide you with the joining details.

A programme for the event will be made available soon.
