Stroke Research Network Portfolio Development.

The Stroke Research Network, in collaboration with the NIHR Research Design Service for the North West, are holding a workshop to assist with Stroke Research Portfolio Development. This workshop is for those who are interested in applying for research funding for stroke research. The presentations include Dr John Bamford on the Stroke Association Funding for Research; the role of the Research Design Service North West by Professor Jennie Popay (Director of the NIHR Research Design Service for the North West); Key points in quantitative study design by Mr Andy Vail (University of Manchester); and various presentations on the Research for Patient Benefit programme including the Chair of the North West Panel. There will also be time for networking and group discussions.

NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Programme Future Product Development Funding.

TrusTECH, in collaboration with the NIHR Research Design Service for the North West, are holding a taster session for those who are interested in the NIHR Invention for Innovation (i4i) Future Product Development Programme. The session will include an overview of the i4i Future Product Development programme by Dr Joanne Thomas, Senior Technology Manager of TrusTECH. It will also include a presentation on how the NIHR Research Design Service for the North West can help those who would like to submit an application to the i4i Future Product Development funding programme, by Catherine Gedling, Deputy Director of the NIHR Research Design Service for the North West

Preparing an Application for the NIHR Fellowship Scheme.

Venue: Harris Conference and Function Centre, Preston
This event has already happened.
This workshop will be of interest to those considering applying to the above scheme, as well as potential supervisors for such applicants. Presentations will be made by one of this years successful applicants and one of this years fellowship panel members. Other Research Design Service personnel will be on hand to offer support to address any of your queries concerning the schemes.
