If you have a research idea/question and need advice on appropriate funding, developing the funding application and the research design and/or help finding collaborators with the appropriate skills and knowledge to ensure the funding application has the most appropriate research team. Then the RDS NW may be able to help.
The RDS NW advice service, which is free, will help anyone develop and design high quality research proposals with the intention of submitting to national, peer-reviewed funding competitions for applied health or social care research. This includes NIHR funding programmes but can include funding programmes from other funders including charities. We are also able to offer independent critical reads of proposals.
RDS NW has access to expert advisers in the North West and advisers across the Research Design Service in England. This provides you with access to a range of expertise, including advice on the practicality and feasibility of research, study design and methodology (quantitative and qualitative), statistics, and economics. We can also refer you to other sources of expert advice within the applied health and social care research system.
